First wave of "WWE History of IC Title" dvd to be collector's item

To those who are going to purchase the new "History of the Intercontinental Championship" three-disc DVD set from World Wrestling Entertainment [WWE] home video this coming Tuesday, be prepared to own a true collector's item as the first wave of releases will feature an example of mistaken identity.

In this photo provided by wwe.com from the inside of the DVD case that features a collage of past Intercontinental Championship holders, there is one individual who did not belong on this collage due to him never being an Intercontinental champion.

Sporting a white jacket and both arms raised in the air to show off his Texas Championship belt, the individual in question is Buddy Roberts, better known for his time as a part of Michael Hayes' Fabulous Freebrids stable in World Class Championship Wrestling [WCCW]. Of course, this begs the question...If Roberts was never IC champion, why is he featured in the collage of IC champions?

The answer is simple and lies in the fact that the person who made the collage didn't do his or her homework. Whoever put the collage together thought that the photo of Roberts was a photo of the first IC Champion Pat Patterson, which one can understand when comparing the photo of Roberts used to the photo of Patterson used in the updated/correct collage second-wave releases for the dvd set [pictured below and provided by wwe.com].
