Wrestling Recipe's Week 7 -Stratusfying Banoffee Pie

If your like most people in the world, chances are you love dessert and let's be honest, who doesn't. In the Oct. 2006 issue of WWE Magazine, seven-time WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus was gracious enough to share with the readers a recipe for "Banoffee Pie" that she requested from the head chef of a catering company in the United Kingdom when WWE went on tour in 2006.

According to Stratus, the chef said, "If I tell you, I'll have to kill you," to which Stratus replied, "Buddy, I"m a six-time WWE Women's champion. If you don't give it to me, I'll crush you." After some arm wringing and giving the chef an autographed photo of herself, Stratus was able to score the recipe and share a little piece of the UK with her fans.


STRATUSFYING BANOFFEE PIE


INGREDIENTS:
*1 14oz. can sweetened condensed milk
*20 plain crushed digestive biscuits (will make 1 1/2 cups crumbs)
*5 tbsp. unsalted butter
*2 bananas
*1 pint heavy cream

DIRECTIONS:
1) On the stovetop, pour sweetened condensed milk into top of double boiler.
2) Place over boiling water.
3) Simmer over low heat for 1-to-1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally until thick & caramel colored.
4) Beat until smooth.
5) Check water in bottom of double boiler to ensure pan is not dry.
6) In bowl, combine biscuit crumbs and melted butter.
7) Use spoon to blend well.
8) Press mixture into pie pan, refrigerate until ready to use.
9) Pour caramelized sweetened condensed milk into chilled crust.
10) Slice bananas and arrange atop caramel layer.
11) Top pie with whipped cream.
